Pliko Switch Stroller for Lauren

Organized by Cassandra Jones

Funds raised all but $20 :)
Thanks guys, mom put in $50 and Amanda had some friends donate $80 to her towards the stroller. This went so fast and Lauren is already enjoying her stroller, as is mommy because it makes things much easier.

The former stroller is still for sale, unless someone knows of a family very in need of one that cannot afford this type of stroller......link below to the Double Sit and Stand.

Big thanks to God for sending Amanda to the stroller at the overstock store, getting it for half the price was pretty stinkin' awesome :)
Amanda, you are awesome!
My wonderful friend Amanda found this stroller in Crossville yesterday for $179 instead of the original price of $399. She was shopping in an outlet store and found this exact stroller, the day after discussing the need for the functions of this particular stroller. YAY! I call that a "GOD" thing. :)
Also, I forgot to mention!
The new stroller, in addition to the features I already mentioned, has an adjustable footrest. Lauren loses circulation in her legs and feet pretty easily when they are hanging straight down. This would allow us to keep her legs and feet straight out in front of her when in a sitting position.

The carriage position would allow her to lay down flat, which is handy when at appointments and getting her in and out often. She lays most of the time because she is unable to sit up and roll around as of yet.

The max weight on this is 45lbs which gives us a large time frame for her to use this stroller. The canopy comes down farther in the front than many while still leaving coverage for the back, which works well for both cold and warmer weather protection.
About this....
Because of the lack of support in Lauren's current stroller, we are selling it and planning to buy her a new one.

I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with this email, and will not be offended AT ALL, if you are unable to contribute. I would be really pleased though if you could fwd the information on about the stroller we are selling however if you know of anyone that may be interested, because that would help us reach part of the goal and is still a contribution! :)

This is the one we will be buying her once we have sold her former stroller for $100, and raise $300 in funds towards the new one. The new one allows for the seat to be facing the parent, which in most strollers is impossible once the child is no longer in an infant carrier. It has a very adjustable 5 point harness feature, as well as different levels of reclining. It also converts into a carriage, which allows the child to lay down. (There is a video showing the features at the bottom of the page in the link.) These are all great features for Lauren during travel for appointments, tests, procedures (surgeries) and everyday use. It will also grow well with her.

Buying different things for her can become a bit expensive and we were hoping that some of our family and friends, if able to, might "chip in" , even if it's a small amount , so that the leftover expense isn't as steep for us.

If you know anyone who may be interested in buying Laurens current stroller to help us meet part of our goal, that would be fantastic! I am selling Lauren's stroller like this. It doesn't position her well due to her lack of trunk control, as well as faces child away from parent, and I really need to be able to have my eyes on her. Gunnar has also really outgrown sitting on the bench part that is available by removing the back seat. This is a fantastic stroller, it just doesn't suit our family at this time. It is in excellent condition, no stains or damage, never been around any smoke etc. We are selling it for $100. It is $170 online but a little higher in stores (due to shipping) Perfect if you have a baby and a toddler! Or of course two babies!
(The double sit and stand stroller is different (and better!) than just a single sit and stand because instead of only having the area to stand on the back for a toddler/preschooler....you can remove the back seat (since there are 2 seats) entirely and there is a bench to actually sit on.) Great for when little legs get tired. :)
